Senior Accountant (Centennial, CO) Pay: $80,000-$126,000 Expiration Date of Job Posting: Continuous POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. This role is responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
+ CPA preferred
+ Mix of audit and industry experience preferred
+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
+ Proficiency in accounting software – NetSuite preferred.
+ Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
+ Strong team player.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
+ Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
+ Responsible for daily bank reconciliations.
+ Analyze financial data and present insights to management.
+ Assist with financial variance analysis.
+ Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
+ Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
+ Participate in process improvement initiatives and system implementations.
+ Serve as a backup to other accounting functions within the Accounting department.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK CONDITIONS:
+ Able to sit and work at computer keyboard for extended period.
+ Maintain regular and on-time attendance.
+ 40 hours/week, but on occasion may require more.
+ Hybrid schedule (3 days/week in office) if desired, after training period depending on performance.
