    POSITION PURPOSE:

    This position is responsible for providing maintenance and technical assistance.  This position will work closely with the production lines to ensure optimum output and efficient operation of machinery and equipment within the facility.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Equipment Familiarization:  work with various types of machinery and equipment used in the facility.

    + Setup Procedures: execute setup procedures for machinery and equipment.

    + Ability to configure machines for different production requirements.

    + Maintenance Protocols: Follow established maintenance protocols for machinery and equipment.  Identify and address common maintenance issues.

    + Task Assignments: Receive and complete task assignments related to equipment maintenance and repair.

    + Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.

    + Preventive Maintenance (PM) Scheduling: Assist in scheduling and performing preventive maintenance tasks.

    + Ensure timely completion of PM activities to minimize downtime.

    + Troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve machinery problems and technical issues.

    + Training Programs: Participate in training programs aimed at enhancing technical skills and knowledge.

    + Safety Procedures: Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks.

    + Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

    + Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.

    + Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    + High School diploma or equivalent.

    + Minimum of one year of experience in technical maintenance and/or certifications in a related field.  One year of specialized training through recognized apprenticeships, workshops.

    + Proficiency in equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

    + Experience with preventive maintenance scheduling and execution.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

    + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    + Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

    + Perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including standing, stooping, reaching, and climbing.

    + Comfortable working in an industrial environment with exposure to various environmental conditions.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    Generally performs in an open manufacturing facility and participates in the maintenance and adjusting of equipment. Tasks include: walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, climbing and lifting. Normal eye, hand, and finger dexterity are required. Some exposure to noise, dust and other industrial hazards like high voltage, pneumatic, hydraulic, stored pressure systems will exist. Exposure to mechanical pinch points will exist.
