The Opportunity:
We’re looking for an experienced Manager Engineering to lead and develop a team of high-performing multi disciplined engineers in designing, creating, and improving Roche Tissue Diagnostics products. Your technical expertise and leadership will help advance the development of cutting-edge Pathology lab instruments that make a difference in healthcare outcomes worldwide.
+ Oversee, coach, and mentor high-performing mechanical, electrical and systems engineers, ensuring alignment with Roche’s technical and organizational goals while supporting their professional development.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, development, and engineering teams to achieve optimal balance between cost, performance, schedule, and quality.
+ Apply advanced engineering principles and best practices to design, analyze, and deliver reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality diagnostic systems tailored to customer and business needs.
+ Lead the development and implementation of state-of-the-art tools, processes, and strategies to innovate and improve engineering capabilities.
+ Conduct technical reviews, provide oversight, and guide teams in achieving complex engineering solutions for product development initiatives.
+ Manage budgets, resource allocation, and recruitment to support current and future lifecycle projects.
Who You Are:
+ You are an innovative, experienced leader with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred).
+ You have at least 8 years of experience in the Engineering/Development discipline with 3 years of team leadership experience.
+ You have expertise in engineering principles and tools, with demonstrated skills in applying Design for Excellence and Reliability practices to deliver complex systems.
+ You are skilled in mentoring and leading teams, building engineering capabilities, and driving high performance.
+ You have a proven ability to present data and communicate action plans effectively to all levels of the organization.
+ You are experienced in managing project goals, HR processes, and resource allocation to meet ambitious development targets.
+ You are highly collaborative and excel at contributing to cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities.
The expected salary range for this position is based on the primary location of Arizona is $168,700 - $219,300. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
