    Job Description

    The Material Plan & Execution specialist will work cross-functionally to provide machine assembly materials for engineering development & future supply chain operations. The role is heavily focused on ERP systems development and sustainment to control material orders, forecast schedule, inventory, work execution, and quality reports. Strong understanding of supply chain operations, ERP systems, and materials management is necessary.

A strong understanding of supply chain operations, ERP systems, and materials management is necessary.

    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    Development Support

    + **ERP Planning Owner** : Own the setup and completeness of planning capabilities. Create readiness metrics to ensure all key contributors and stakeholders are informed.

    + **Master Data Owner** : Approve BOM data released into ERP to ensure accuracy and consistency.

    + **Proficient in Excel** : Create and utilize VLOOKUP and pivot tables for data analysis or while systems are being created/improved.

    + **Manual Purchase Requisitions** : Enter purchase requisitions and manage material lists during early prototyping using ERP processes.

    + **Pre-production Inventory** : Support inventory efforts prior to full ERP system readiness, ensuring accurate counts and locations.

    Maintain and Control

    + **Material Flow Management** : Manage master planning, material processes, and systems. Prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plans and delivery KPIs.

    + **Inventory Control** : Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system, ensuring proper stock levels to support production schedules. Support physical inventory control and audits.

    + **ERP System Utilization** : Use the ERP system to track material movements, generate reports, and identify potential shortages or delays. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Product Information Manager (PIM) within the ERP system.

    + **Process Optimization and Standard Work** : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in material and process flows. Develop and adhere to standard work procedures for material planning and execution tasks.

    + **Delivery Assurance** : Ensure materials are available on time to support production schedules and promote timely delivery of finished products to customers. **Problem Solving and Resolution** : Apply lean problem-solving principles to address material-related issues promptly, working with suppliers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies or delays.

    + **Compliance and Safety** : Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements in all material handling and planning activities.

    + **Supply Chain Continuous Improvement** : Support efforts to continually improve supply chain systems and processes.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of experience in supply chain management, operations, or a related field).

    + Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

    Desired Characteristics

    + **Additive Manufacturing** : Familiarity with development and production of additive manufacturing equipment.

    + **Supply Chain Management** : Ability to provide metrics for site inventory and operations planning (SIOP).

    + **Communication** : Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, and execute programs. Provide regular updates to the production leader and other stakeholders regarding material status and potential risks to delivery timelines.

    + **Team Collaboration** : Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, including across different time zones and countries.

    + **Adaptability** : Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and technologies.

    + **Lean Knowledge** : Basic understanding of lean principles, such as waste reduction, continuous improvement, standard work, and visual management.
