Leidos’ **Defense Systems – Platform Integration Facility** is seeking a **Quality Inspector** to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll ensure electro-mechanical parts and assembled hardware meet strict quality standards in accordance with drawings, specifications, and procedures. You'll also play a key part in supporting documentation, troubleshooting, and non-conformance tracking—directly impacting the performance and reliability of mission-critical defense systems.

This is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, self-direction, and teamwork are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

+ Inspect **piece parts, components, and electro-mechanical assemblies** (e.g., cable assemblies, structural hardware).

+ Read and interpret **engineering drawings, test plans, and assembly instructions** .

+ Perform **material verification** and inspections, generating inspection reports and documentation.

+ Identify and document **non-conformances** and assist in initiating root cause analysis.

+ Use **standard measurement equipment** (micrometers, calipers, multimeters, etc.) for inspection and calibration.

+ Support acceptance testing and generate **test documentation** .

+ Assist with **receiving inspection** , documentation control, and calibration processes.

Basic Qualifications

+ **High School Diploma/GED** required.

+ **3-5 years of experience** in a **quality control** environment under **ISO9001/AS9100** or in **DoD, Aerospace, or Automotive** manufacturing.

+ Proficient with standard inspection tools: **micrometers, calipers, multimeters** , etc.

+ Able to read and interpret **technical drawings, schematics, and specifications** .

+ Experience generating inspection documentation (inspection reports, bubble prints, Certificates of Conformance, NCRs).

+ Understanding of **Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)** .

+ Strong communication and collaboration skills within multi-disciplinary teams.

+ **U.S. Citizenship** required.

+ Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a **DoD Secret Clearance** .

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience inspecting **complex aerospace hardware** and supporting **Material Review Board (MRB)** processes.

+ Familiarity with **AS9102 First Article Inspection** and **Acceptance Data Pack** review/creation.

+ Knowledge of **AS5553 counterfeit prevention** practices.

+ Experience in handling **non-conforming materials** and writing/processing NCRs.

+ Ability to lift and carry up to **35 lbs** .

Pay Range:

Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00
