The Business Intelligence Developer reports to the Director of Business Intelligence and Data Services and plays a key role in maintaining existing data solutions while building new ones to meet evolving business needs. This position supports the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) — from requirements gathering to development to production maintenance — ensuring accuracy, performance, and reliability of enterprise data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide support across the entire SDLC, from technical requirements to production maintenance
+ Engineer optimized data structures for analytics purposes
+ Design and develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
+ Document design specifications and test plans to ensure accuracy of delivered data solutions
+ Interpret data and relationships within OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) and OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) systems
+ Monitor and manage integration elements to ensure performance and customer satisfaction
+ Ensure data accuracy and integrity through analysis, coding, clear documentation, and issue resolution
About You
Qualifications - What You’ll Bring
+ Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business intelligence, computer science, or related field
+ 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare IT, analytics, software development, or data management
+ Strong SQL or Python programming skills
+ Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server database modeling and development
+ Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
+ Familiarity with BI reporting technologies such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, SSRS, Power BI
+ Knowledge of OLTP and OLAP systems and data modeling best practices
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt to various audiences
+ Proven problem-resolution skills and professional judgment
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Preferred (Not Required)
+ Prior healthcare industry experience
+ Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS
+ Familiarity with additional programming languages beyond SQL and Python
+ Experience contributing to project monitoring and knowledge continuity initiatives
+ Continuous learning mindset with a track record of adapting to new technologies and processes
