Position Summary...
The Senior Manager, Category & Assortment Expansion will lead the strategy and execution of new category unlocks across our delivery ecosystem — including Restricted Items, Pharmacy, Vision Center, and emerging assortment opportunities. This role combines strategic foresight, operational excellence, and cross-functional leadership to bring new delivery propositions to market, driving incremental growth and expanding customer choice.
You’ll manage a team responsible for identifying, evaluating, and scaling new fulfillment capabilities while partnering closely with Product, Operations, Compliance, and Merchandising leadership. The ideal candidate is both analytical and entrepreneurial — capable of turning data-driven insights into actionable roadmaps and compelling narratives that influence senior stakeholders.
What you'll do...
What You Will Do
+ **Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team:** Manage and mentor a team focused on identifying and executing new category expansion opportunities. Foster collaboration, growth, and accountability to achieve business objectives.
+ **Own Category Expansion Strategy:** Define and deliver the strategy for expanding delivery capabilities across high-potential categories such as Restricted Items, Pharmacy, and Vision Center.
+ **Bring New Propositions to Market:** Partner across Product, Compliance, and Operations to pilot, scale, and operationalize new delivery offerings that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
+ **Shape Business Cases and Influence Roadmaps:** Build data-backed business cases that quantify opportunity size, operational impact, and ROI. Present recommendations to senior leadership to drive decision-making and prioritization.
+ **Cross-Functional Leadership:** Act as a connector across multiple teams — ensuring alignment from concept through execution. Proactively identify dependencies, remove blockers, and maintain visibility on progress and risks.
+ **Operational Excellence:** Establish frameworks to measure program health, track KPIs, and optimize performance across pilots and scaled programs.
+ **Storytelling and Executive Communication:** Translate insights and strategy into compelling narratives that inspire alignment and action across all levels of the organization.
+ **Stay Ahead of the Market:** Lead competitive research to anticipate emerging trends, customer expectations, and regulatory shifts impacting delivery categories.
What You’ll Bring
+ 5–8+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or a similar field; experience in category expansion, fulfillment, or last-mile preferred.
+ Proven people leadership experience with the ability to coach, inspire, and grow a high-performing team.
+ Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills — with the ability to move seamlessly between strategy and execution.
+ Excellent storytelling and communication skills; ability to influence at senior levels and across functions.
+ Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives from concept to market launch.
+ Experience navigating complex organizations and managing multiple stakeholders.
+ Curiosity and adaptability — with a track record of driving innovation and shaping new customer experiences.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations , or related field and 3 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area. 1 year’s supervisory experience.
