Description

Position Overview
The Sponsorships and Partnerships department has intern opportunities to support the company's partnership marketing and activation strategy, principally assisting in the management and execution of sponsorship-related assets, activities and events that engage customers and employees and bring United's spirit, its products and services to life. These interns support several of our key, best-in-class sponsored properties managing branding, fulfillment, activation and events supporting the sports, entertainment and lifestyle sponsorship portfolio, and ensuring United receives business-driving impact from our partnerships.
+ Assist with oversight, management and execution of sponsorship activities and events in conjunction with sports (various NFL, NBA, MLB NHL, NCAA teams), entertainment (e.g. Sundance Film Festival, Outside Lands music festival), and lifestyle partners
+ Create and activate concepts to promote and activate sponsorships by way of events, content, social and digital media
+ Coordinate allocation and distribution of tickets, suite allocations or other sponsorship-related assets to corporate partners and employees
+ Assist with market and industry competitive research, proposal and activation evaluations and data and analytics
+ Develop and complete unique ideas to differentiate United in local markets
This internship is solely designed to provide you with skill development and valuable work experience. This role may not convert to a position at United at the conclusion of the internship.
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
+ Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, PR/Advertising, Communications, or a related field
+ Highly organized and self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills
+ Ability to lead multiple, contending priorities and ensure attention to detail
+ Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; must be comfortable talking to and collaborating with a variety of partners
+ Confident performing data analysis to arrive at insights and develop recommendations
+ Shown proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
+ Position is based in Chicago, IL - must be able to relocate for the duration of the internship
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship now and in the future
+ Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
+ Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position
The starting rate for this role is $20.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education and skills. This position may also be eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
