• Transmission Line Engineer (Remote)

    KDG Construction Consulting is seeking an experienced Transmission Line Engineer to support an exciting project that will upgrade four 230-kV transmission lines within shared Right-of-Way (ROW) corridors in the Valley area. This project utilizes a bundled approach to coordinate design, outage planning, and future construction across all segments. Early design and constructability reviews will play a key role in reducing risks and improving overall project scheduling.

     

    *Remote Opportunity

    Duties and Responsibilities include:

    + Perform transmission line design using PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and related software tools

    + Review and coordinate design packages to ensure technical accuracy and constructability

    + Support interdisciplinary coordination across design, planning, and construction teams

    + Contribute to outage planning and risk mitigation strategies

    + Participate in design review meetings and provide technical recommendations.

    + Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and safety requirements

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering (or related field)

    + Minimum five (5) years of experience in transmission line design for major utility or infrastructure projects

    + Proficiency with PLS-CADD; experience with California transmission projects strongly preferred

    + Understanding of utility design standards, permitting processes, and environmental constraints

    + Strong communication and coordination skills in multidisciplinary project environments

    + Professional Engineer (PE) license in California is a plus.
