Job Title: Software Test Engineer – Contract

Job Description

We are seeking two highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Test Engineers for a 3 to 6 months contract. The position is based in Loveland, CO, with no option for remote work. The Software Test Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the precision, reliability, and compliance of the Vi-CELL BLU's software throughout its lifecycle. This involves developing and executing rigorous test strategies for advanced software components, including image analysis algorithms, automated instrument control, secure data management, and user interfaces, thereby contributing to the delivery of top-quality diagnostic and research instruments.

Responsibilities

+ Thoroughly review software requirements, functional specifications, and design documents to identify testable components and potential areas of risk.

+ Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test protocols covering functional, integration, system, regression, performance, usability, and data integrity testing.

+ Conduct manual and automated testing, working closely with developers to resolve and verify defects.

+ Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, C#, and Specflow.

+ Ensure all testing activities and documentation comply with relevant regulatory standards applicable to medical and non-medical instruments.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.

+ 4-5 years of progressive experience in software quality assurance or software testing, ideally with experience in scientific instrumentation, medical devices, or highly regulated industries.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with manual testing, hardware testing, and BDD.

+ Proficiency in automated testing, C#, and Specflow.

Work Environment

The position requires working onsite 100% of the time in Loveland, CO. The candidate will have the opportunity to focus on advanced software for the Vi-CELL BLU automated cell viability analyzer, contributing directly to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic and research instruments.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Loveland, Colorado.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
