    Adecco is assisting a local client in San Jose, CA to search for a Production Planner. This is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm at $32.00 to $35.00 an hour DOE. APPLY NOW!

    Key Responsibilities

    Planning and Scheduling

    + Plan and schedule workflow for each operation according to established sequences and lead times.

    + Utilize sales forecasts, customer orders, and lead times to drive efficient manufacturing workflows that minimize overtime and maximize output.

    + Open, manage, and close work orders promptly to ensure accurate factory cost absorption and on-time delivery.

    + Maintain the accuracy and integrity of work orders, making approved material replacements as needed.

    + Manage customer min/max inventory programs and coordinate forecasts, stock levels, and obsolescence planning.

    + Run daily Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and collaborate with purchasing to fulfill open and safety stock orders.

    + Monitor incoming material order status and adjust production schedules accordingly.

    + Act as liaison across departments to provide timely updates in response to schedule or material changes.

    + Schedule and coordinate expedited orders for priority customers.

    Communication and Coordination

    + Facilitate daily production meetings to align schedules and priorities.

    + Communicate with production, customer service, and sales teams on shipment priorities, material delays, and special projects.

    + Coordinate with Design Engineering to address part setup, BOM discrepancies, and missing documentation.

    + Work with Quality on First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements for new customers or products.

    + Collaborate with Purchasing and Receiving to ensure last-minute material arrivals are processed quickly to support production needs.

    + Assist in resolving production issues and implementing both short-term and long-term corrective actions.

    Data Analysis and Reporting

    + Utilize ERP/MRP systems to schedule firm work orders and manage workflow.

    + Analyze data and reports to improve scheduling efficiency.

    + Develop and maintain performance metrics to measure production output.

    + Monitor and track orders to maintain smooth manufacturing flow.

    + Prepare production reports and evaluate capacity data to determine optimal manufacturing processes.

    + Collaborate with inventory control to manage and review safety stock levels.

    Qualifications

    + Associate’s Degree from a two-year college.

    + 1–2 years of related production planning experience in a manufacturing environment required.

    + ERP planning and scheduling experience required.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

    + Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    + Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Scheduling/Planning certification a plus.

    + Spanish language proficiency a plus.

    **Pay Details:** $32.00 to $36.00 per day
