We are seeking an Environmental Project Manager with over seven years of experience to support our growing environmental site investigation, due diligence, remediation, and compliance practice in the Metro Detroit office. The ideal candidate is a seasoned environmental consulting professional with the motivation and desire to foster technical excellence and strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
+ Manage project teams, delegating tasks to office and field staff, and executing daily project activities.
+ Handle project contractual and financial issues, including terms of agreement, changes in scope, and billing processes.
+ Mentor existing staff of project-level scientists and engineers.
+ Monitor team performance for compliance with contractual agreements and budgets.
+ Conduct site compliance inspections.
+ Prepare proposals and review/write environmental reports with guidance from the Principal.
+ Conduct and review technical analyses and calculations.
+ Participate in meetings and agency consultations.
+ Conduct internal and client communications.
+ Provide business development support.
+ Assist on projects and tasks outside of primary responsibilities as needed.
+ Travel up to 40% for local, regional, and rare national projects.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in remediation, site assessment, project management, and environmental science.
+ Experience in environmental site assessments (ESA) and investigations.
+ Expertise in environmental compliance and due diligence.
+ Strong understanding of field sampling and investigative protocols.
+ Knowledge of contaminants' fate and transport in the subsurface and experience in conceptual site model development.
+ Experience with database management and GIS.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
+ Experience preparing reports demonstrating technical knowledge.
+ Possession or completion of 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training.
+ Professional registration such as PE, PG, or LSRP is strongly preferred.
+ Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geological/Hydrogeology, or Environmental Sciences (advanced degree is a plus).
+ Knowledge of applicable Federal and Michigan laws and regulations, such as CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, Michigan Part 111/115, Part 201, Part 213 (experience in adjacent states is a plus).
+ Experience with statistical review of data.
Work Environment
The work environment is collaborative, fun, and flexible, with a diversified book of business. The position offers flexible work hours and the option for hybrid work as needed. Ownership opportunities and advancement to principal levels are available. The role will require time spent in the office and at various customer sites, including manufacturing facilities and construction sites.

This is a Permanent position based out of LIVONIA, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
