Job Title: Design Engineer
Job Description
This role involves working on customization projects to meet specific customer requirements, rather than designing products from scratch. The Design Engineer will gather and analyze customer requirements, write design inputs, create the requested device, and communicate timelines and progress with both the customer and the R&D Manager. Once a 3D model is created and approved, the engineer will proceed to the next project or customer request.
Responsibilities
+ Gather and analyze customer requirements for customization projects.
+ Write design inputs based on customer specifications.
+ Create and develop devices as per customer requests using SolidWorks.
+ Communicate project timelines and progress with customers and the R&D Manager.
+ Develop 3D models and ensure they meet approval standards.
+ Transition to the next project or customer request after model approval.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in SolidWorks with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
+ Strong understanding of GD&T with at least 3 years of experience.
+ Knowledge of mechanical engineering and manufacturing processes.
+ Experience with SolidWorks Enterprise PDM, medical devices, risk management, CAPA, or DHF highly preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Work Environment
This position is an onsite role requiring 40 hours a week, with typical hours from 9am to 3:30pm. There is flexibility in choosing to start earlier or later to complete an 8-hour workday. This is a 100% onsite role, but there is some flexibility to work a day from home for legitimate reasons.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
