    Job Title: Wire Harness Assembler

    Job Description

    The role involves assembling electrical and electronic components on printed circuit boards, wiring harnesses, power supplies, and other electrical assemblies or sub-assemblies. This position requires all benchwork, specifically building harnesses for aircraft to the IPC Standard. Accuracy and timely completion of tasks are essential. 10% of the work involves box build-up, requiring the ability to read drawings and work instructions.

    Responsibilities

    + Use a wiring diagram to lay out and secure wires.

    + Strip wires and cut heat shrink tubing.

    + Attach terminals and cover wires.

    + Shrink tubing with a heat gun.

    + Interlace multiple wires and examine connectors.

    + Seal and crimp wires, attach terminals.

    + Attach wires to male and female housings, and attach connectors.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ year experience in wire harness assembly.

    + Proficiency in harness assembly, cable assembly, blueprint reading, electrical assembly, wiring, and soldering.

    + Ability to use hand tools, read schematics, and perform electrical wiring.

    + IPC 620 Certification in wire harness assembly required.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + IPC 610 (Soldering) is a plus.

    + IPC J-STD is a plus.

    + Experience in automotive assembly or soldering assembly is beneficial.

    + Experience with assembly of harnesses for aircraft or similar industries.

    + Military experience at I-Level is acceptable.

    The facility is air-conditioned and very clean, with available breakrooms. Candidates must be open to 1st or 2nd shift, with 1st shift running from 6:00am to 2:30pm and 2nd shift from 3:00pm onwards.

    This is a Contract position based out of Huntsville, Alabama.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $29.00/hr.
