    Job Title: Industrial Electrician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team and maintain electrical systems throughout our production facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, reading ladder logic, and troubleshooting PLCs. Additionally, the candidate should be adept at programming drives, wiring 3-phase motors, and handling both low and high voltage troubleshooting from 24v to 480v. This role may also involve dual craft maintenance duties, including work with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and valves.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.

    + Troubleshoot machinery and perform routine preventative maintenance.

    + Read, interpret, and follow instructions and operation manuals.

    + Demonstrate electrical competency for troubleshooting and familiarity with electrical principles and components.

    + Weld and fabricate parts and equipment as needed.

    + Utilize an electrical meter for testing purposes.

    + Maintain a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.

    + Possess knowledge of piping systems, pipe fittings, pumps and motors, valves, etc.

    + Comprehend gearboxes, motors, bearings, sprockets, chains, bushings, belts, and pulleys.

    + Clean, repair, and install equipment and parts as needed.

    + Operate sit-down forklift and/or articulating boom lift.

    + Operate a variety of hand and power tools.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    + Comply with health and safety regulations.

    + Perform general maintenance work on buildings as assigned.

    + Maintain strong working relationships with all plant departments and write routine reports and correspondence.

    Essential Skills

    + 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, PLC Technician, or similar role.

    + Experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.

    + Trade school certificate or journeyman card.

    + Proficiency in troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC troubleshooting, ladder logic, and programming VFDs.

    + Ability to read schematics and blueprints.

    + Knowledge of pumps, valve repair, conveyor maintenance, and 3-phase systems.

    + Experience with electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.

    + Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems.

    + Strong computer skills.

    + Physical dexterity and the ability to perform physical tasks.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability.

    + Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and/or push, pull or move heavy machinery and/or drums.

    + Capability to work up to a 12-hour shift.

    + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    + Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
