Job Title: Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, lighting, and control systems, in industrial and commercial environments. The role involves reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams, as well as performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems. Troubleshoot electrical issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions. Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget while ensuring compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations. Use hand and power tools to perform tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

+ Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments.

+ Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

+ Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.

+ Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions.

+ Collaborate with team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget.

+ Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.

+ Utilize hand and power tools to perform tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 5 years of commercial electrical experience.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

+ Understanding of electrical codes.

+ Experience with conduit, cable, repair, hand tools, hospital construction, maintenance repair, industrial troubleshooting, panel wiring, light fixtures, and circuits.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with hospital projects is a plus.

+ Installation, maintenance, and repair experience in commercial settings.

Work Environment

This is a prevailing wage job with a start time between 6-7 AM, typically involving 8-10 hour workdays. The role is part of an ICU hospital expansion project located at 1559 Sparta Street, McMinnville, TN, expected to continue through the end of the year.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McMinnville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.77 - $33.77/hr.
