Job Summary
The IT Business Analysts (BA) will work with stakeholders to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver recommendations to stakeholders. IT Business Analysts engage with business leaders and users to understand how changes to process, products, services, software and hardware can improve efficiencies and add value. The BA will articulate these ideas but also balance them against what’s technologically feasible and functionally reasonable. This is a hybrid role in our corporate headquarters in suburban Philadelphia (Colmar, PA) with the expectation to be onsite 2 to 3 days per week.
Primary Duties
+ Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, driving the delivery of effective solutions.
+ Facilitating agreement on scope and requirements amongst multiple stakeholders.
+ Analyzing, validating, and documenting detailed business requirements.
+ Identifying the current and future-state business processes.
+ Providing business voice in design sessions with the development team to define solutions.
+ Establishing detailed test cases to support comprehensive QA and UAT testing.
+ Ensuring solutions delivered meet business needs and requirements.
Qualifications
+ Knowledge of proper requirements specification and development, such as process/functional requirements definition methods, use case development, process flow diagrams
+ Eliciting Requirements – enable stakeholders to understand the challenge at hand before trying to propose the solution
+ Demonstrated collaboration and relationship building at all levels of a company.
+ Creating Business Requirements Documentation
+ Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
+ Self-motivated, independent contributor with the ability to learn new business areas, tools and concepts quickly.
+ People skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with stakeholders and communicate changes that may not be aligned with the original expectations
Education / Experience
+ Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology and/or Business or equivalent work experience
+ A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT business analysis or a related field
+ Track record of following through on commitments
+ Facilitation skills
+ Analytical thinking and problem solving
+ Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
+ Knowledge of business structure
+ Requirements engineering
+ Analytical and inquisitive
+ Ability to work independently and with others
+ Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
