    Job Details

    The Unit Support Associate under the direction of the NM/ANM, coordinates and performs those duties necessary to manage and organize the nursing unit including reception and secretarial duties as well as accountability for accurate communication among the health care team.

    Responsibilities:

    + Maintaining regulatory standards involving the medical record

    + Performs other duties and responsibilities as delegated by NM/ANM

    + Completes competencies needed to perform duties in a specific clinical (patient care) setting

    + Communicates with courtesy and respect

    + Immediately acknowledges and greets all visitors at the nurses’ station

    + Monitors and maintains all medical records according to regulatory guidelines

    + Prioritizes and responds to emergent situations of unit

    + Orders supplies, obtaining supplies/blood products/medications from areas of the hospital

    + Transporting specimens to lab and medications to pharmacy

    + Assists the clinical staff in coordinator of all necessary patient-related testing/scheduling and communication with interdisciplinary team members

    Requirements:

    + High School Diploma

    + Previous Unit Support Associate experience preferred

    + Strong computer skills; ability to multi-task and demonstrated ability to prioritize work

    + Typing minimum of 30 wpm/ alphanumeric 5000 keystrokes/hour.

    + Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology

     

    Salary Range

     

    USD $21.81 - USD $32.72 /Hr.
