    Job Opportunity: PFS Analyst (Physician Billing)

     

    Remote (Indiana residents only)

     

    Pay Rate: $16/hour

     

    Flexible Start Time: Between 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM | 8-hour shift

     

    Contract Duration: 3 Months (with potential for internal opportunities)

    About the Role

    Are you detail-oriented and passionate about healthcare operations? Join a dynamic revenue cycle team that supports billing operations across multiple healthcare locations. As a PFS Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring claims are processed accurately and efficiently, helping recover payments from insurance providers and supporting the financial health of the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Analyze and resolve unpaid claims by reviewing account details and identifying root causes.

    + Perform third-party follow-ups, denial appeals, and recovery efforts.

    + Submit claims and ensure timely resolution of accounts receivable.

    + Maintain and update provider enrollment, charge description master, and fee schedules.

    + Post payments and manage patient collections.

    + Navigate multiple systems including Cerner, GI Centricity, SMS, IDX, Medicaid portals, and payer websites.

    + Support audit defense and recovery processes.

    Training & Work Environment

    + Training Schedule: 4–6 weeks, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST (additional time if needed).

    + Work Environment: Fast-paced, production-driven, and collaborative.

    + Remote Work: Fully remote, but candidates must reside in Indiana to be eligible for future internal roles.

    Qualifications Required:

    + 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.

    + Familiarity with health insurance concepts (copays, deductibles, terminology).

    + Ability to multitask across multiple systems and platforms.

    Preferred:

    + 1+ year of medical billing experience.

    + Recent graduates from medical billing and coding programs are encouraged to apply.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
