* Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping buildings and grounds clean and safe. This person is a semi-skilled employee who performs minor electrical/repairs.
Office Furniture relocation
Work on plumbing fresh and waste as required.
Small carpentry projects.
Storage rack tear down, relocation and re-assembly
Essential Job Functions
* Responsible for grounds duties such as removing snow and ice from sidewalks and cutting grass.
* May fix leaky plumbing, maintain heating and cooling equipment, and perform light carpentry duties.
* Knowledge of how to use and assist in repairing all standard air and hand tools
* Knowledge of forklift (along with certification) and lawn equipment
* Knowledge of drill press, chop saws & band saw maintenance
* Able to use boom lifts, scissor lifts, and ladders
* Able to complete minor building repairs both inside and outside
* Report all safety findings according to regulations and procedures to direct supervisor
Non-essential Job Functions
* Organize work area
* Communicate well with others
Requirements
* Work inside without air conditioning and outside in all weather conditions
* Work in hot and cold, dusty, greasy, and noisy environments
* Able to stand and walk around all day
* Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and bending regularly
* Must be able to lift and handle up to 50 pounds of material
Other Skills/Abilities
* Ability to be cross-trained to assist skilled Maintenance personnel
