Carlson Design Group is seeking a highly experienced, licensed Mechanical Engineer, to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for a professional with ten or more years of experience who thrives in complex project environments and is ready to take major responsibility for impactful company programs

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
+ Plan and Develop: Support the development of medium to large-scope projects with significant complexities, impacting major company programs.
+ Execute and Coordinate: Execute and coordinate projects with a multidisciplined design team.
+ Technical Expertise: Provide technical design support, prepare schematic designs, construction documents, and specifications in compliance with project requirements and building design.
+ Innovation and Exploration: Explore subject areas, define project scope, select items for investigation, and develop novel concepts and methods to address project challenges.
Qualifications
To Qualify for this role, you must
+ Have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
+ Professional Engineering (PE) Registration or be on a path to obtaining licensure in multiple states.
+ Minimum 5 years of related experience HVAC and plumbing system design.
+ Ability to support and execute projects independently from handoff.
+ Experience preparing construction documents.
+ Competency in Revit.
Ideally, you’ll also have
+ Mission critical or industrial engineering experience.
+ Experience preparing advanced analyses (e.g., system coordination, load calculations).
+ Strong problem-solving and innovation skills.
