Long-Term Substitute Teacher Wanted – Specials & Classroom Support(Floater Role)

Start Date: Immediate

Pay Rate: $37–$42/hour (based on experience and interview)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (30-minute lunch break)

Hours/Week: 40 hours/week

A vibrant school community in Milwaukee is seeking adependable and passionate Substitute Teacher to serve as a dailyfloater, supporting specials (PE, Music, Art, and Spanish) and classroominstruction as needed. This is a full-time position ideal for someone whothrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to student success.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide instructional support across various subjects and classrooms

+ Implement daily lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment

+ Support classroom management using restorative practices

+ Collaborate with teachers and administrators to ensure continuity of instruction

+ Build rapport with students and staff, serving as a positive role model

+ Maintain accurate records and follow school policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s Degree or higher

+ Valid DPI teaching license (emergency license acceptable)

+ At least one year of teaching experience preferred

+ Strong classroom management and communication skills

+ Ability to adapt to different subjects and grade levels

+ CPR certification (if applicable)

+ TB screening and health certificate (as required)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Candidates will exhibit:

+ Strong work ethic and reliability

+ Team-oriented with a positive attitude

+ Experience working in restorative behavior environments

+ Ability to provide examples of effective classroom management during screening
