The Program Manager is assigned to multi-location, national customer(s) and is responsible for account management and providing onsite leadership, as well as driving account performance and revenue growth. The Program Manager serves as the key point of contact and works cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure exceptional service levels, revenue growth, profitability and exceed customer expectations. This role operates independently with the direction of the VP and Sr. Director of Strategic Accounts in order to identify, evaluate and capture growth opportunities across the customer(s) locations.
This role will work from a home office and will travel to customers. We offer 401k, plus medical, dental and vision benefits, as well as a paid holidays and a PTO package.
Responsibilities:
+ Serves as the primary point of contact for the assigned account(s), ensuring strong relationships with key customer stakeholders by meeting regularly to discuss customer needs and account performance.
+ Maintains understanding of the operations and needs of the largest account locations, visiting these accounts as necessary.
+ Ability to manage onsite service support personnel to achieve service levels expected by the customer.
+ Strives to exceed sales goals through opening new and growing existing locations and identifying growth opportunities, partnering with the field sales team and internal resources as needed.
+ Assesses customer needs and makes recommendations for products and solutions through Lawson product and solution offering.
+ Develops customer reporting and forecasts expected results, maintaining accurate and timely communication with internal teams and customer.
+ Monitors overall customer and individual location purchasing levels and follows up with sales personnel as needed to ensure growth goals are achieved.
+ Develops stocking strategies and monitors inventory levels to ensure alignment with customer purchasing needs.
+ Develops effective and productive working relationships with Lawson internal departments to successfully grow assigned business through collaboration.
+ Develops pricing structures that are competitive based on market data and needed to grow assigned business.
+ Monitors competitive activity and industry trends to determine customer and market needs. Stays current on knowledge of existing and emerging competitors.
+ Assists in establishing sales priorities and objectives in order to deliver sales growth and corporate gross margin goals for assigned business.
+ May attend Lawson sales meetings as required.
+ Reports directly to the Sr. Director of Strategic Accounts
Qualifications & Requirements:
+ Associate's degree required, bachelor's degree preferred, with at least 5 years of experience in solution selling in Manufacturing, MRO or related industry field with experience in business-to-business sales, specifically targeting large, national-level accounts, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Stellar interpersonal communication, active listening, customer focus, and problem-solving skills are required.
+ Desire to exceed expectations and quotas with a proven history of meeting sales goals.
+ Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to quickly establish and maintain productive relationships at all levels with customer.
+ Ability to build lasting external and internal relationships.
+ Track record of business development with experience growing existing business, particularly targeting high-revenue, national accounts.
+ Detail-oriented with a strong analytical ability to work with reports and sales performance metrics.
+ Innovative mindset and a thorough understanding of our market practices for expanding large, national-level accounts.
+ Excellent customer service and follow up skills, with a strong emphasis on ability to listen and offer appropriate solution.
+ High-level presentation and communication skills, with the ability to provide demonstrations to customers, prospects and key decision makers.
+ Team player, positive and results-driven, with the ability to self-start and work independently.
+ Willingness to travel, with at least 75% of time spent in the field
+ Proficiency with personal computers and appropriate computer skills with Microsoft Office products (including Power Point) to meet administrative needs.
+ Ability to lift 50 pounds.
+ A vehicle, a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to obtain and maintain vehicular insurance as required by policy.
Our salary range for this role is $140,000 - $155,000 including a full benefits package.
