    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Materials Engineer focused on Optical Materials and Coatings to sit onsite in Sunnyvale for a top client in the AR/VR industry. This team brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking augmented and virtual reality products. They build seemingly impossible products that advance their mission of connecting the world. The Materials Innovation team is seeking a Materials Engineer with the ability to bring new materials to consumer products at scale. Responsibilities include:

     

    * Determine the right optical materials and coatings design and process to achieve system level optical performance

    * Drive development of novel optical material technologies to enable new capabilities in future consumer devices, either internally or with external partners.

    * Support technical program leaders in the development of new technologies and remove material barriers from the path to commercialization.

    * Provide optical materials expertise throughout the full hardware development cycle.

    * Define and execute testing and evaluation of materials.

    * Seamlessly transition materials technology to high volume production.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 5+ years of experience working with Optical Materials, PVD, CVD and ALD

     

    - Experienced in Surface Characterization

     

    - Strong understanding of mechanical properties of materials

     

    - Experience with organic and/or inorganic materials - Working with Vendors

     

    - Consumer Electronics

     

    - Mandarin
