    What you will do:

    The Senior Engineer, Global Technical Quality provides hands-on leadership to elevate product and process quality across all regions and programs in Core Products BU. This role owns the development and execution of the Global Quality Look‑Across (Read‑Across) process to rapidly propagate lessons learned, standardizes Quality Chain practices (PFMEA, Control Plans, training & governance), coordinate critical OEM/customer technical quality topics, and ensures disciplined engineering change control. The position operates with a global scope, partnering with regional and plant quality, engineering, manufacturing, program management and customer quality to reduce risk, improve compliance, and strengthen customer confidence.

    How you will do it:

    Develop and lead the Global Quality** **Look‑Across** **(Read‑Across)** **process

    • Define triggers for look‑across (e.g., significant customer claims, special

     

    characteristic escapes, audit majors, high‑severity 8Ds, major ECNs, PPHR risks).

     

    • Translate insights into DFMEA/PFMEA & Control Plan updates and supporting work instructions; ensure plant‑level practicality.

    • Issue Look‑Across Bulletins, assign regional owners, track adoption evidence and deadlines, and close with effectiveness review.

    • Develop training content and office hours; drive regional capability (including Asia enablement); report TTP (Time‑to‑Propagate), Coverage %, Recurrence rate, and audit conformance.

    Governance & Engineering Change Control

    • Represent Global Quality in change proposal/ECN boards; gate releases until risk analyses (DFMEA/PFMEA), Control Plans, and verifications are current.

    • Ensure customer communication standards and regional variations are applied consistently for changes with OEM impact.

    • Coordinate SC/CC standardization for Core Products BU.

    Customer/OEM Technical Quality Leadership (Global)

    • Own global alignment on critical OEM technical topics (e.g., read‑across on special characteristics); coordinate closure plans across regions.

    • Engage directly with OEM engineering/quality to align on expectations, verification evidence, and documentation.

    Advanced Quality & PPAP Disciplines (Global Programs)

    • Strengthen POWER D3 Quality deliverables in Global programs including PPHR,

     

    DFMEA/PFMEA, DVPR, and Control Plans for SLI/AGM/EFB programs.

     

    • Ensure lessons learned/read‑across are embedded into new launches and transfers.

    • Supports Global programs for Core Products BU.

    Structured Problem Solving & Claims Reduction

    • Lead cross‑functional 8D and verification of root cause for Global issues; implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.

    • Leverage enterprise tools to monitor recurrence and escalate systemic risks.

    People Leadership & Capability Building

    • Provide direction to cross‑regional teams; coach engineers/Senior Engineers on core tools and change discipline.

    • Operate as a Senior Engineer with at least one direct report.

    Stakeholder Management & Communications

    • Coordinate with Regional/Plant Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Program

     

    Management, Supplier Quality, and Customer Quality.

     

    • Publish look‑across bulletins, dashboards, and executive updates; present results in governance forums.

    What we look for:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Chemical, or related).

    • 8+ years in product & process quality within automotive/energy storage or similar high‑volume manufacturing.

    • Expertise in POWER D3 - APQP/PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and structured problem solving (8D).

    • Proven leadership of cross‑regional initiatives and customer/OEM technical topics.

    • Working knowledge of IATF 16949/ISO 9001 and audit practices.
