DuPont is seeking a 12 Hour Rotating Shift Supervisor for the Kalrez Business at Tralee Park and Tralee Park Annex in Newark, DE. The site produces high performance Kalrez® seals in a discrete part manufacturing environment.
The 12 Hour Rotating Shift Supervisor provides leadership and direction for a team of hourly technicians in the production of Kalrez® Parts. The 12 Hour Rotating Shift Supervisor as a member of the operations manufacturing team is accountable for the safety, quality, and efficient operation of the facility over the period of a shift.
The role will report to the Area Manager and be responsible for direct supervision, employee safety, morale, product quality, productivity, teaching, learning and mentorship of the assigned work team. The 12 Hour Rotating Shift Supervisor will support business KPI’s and initiatives such as LEAN, operational excellence, productivity, yield, cost controls, and daily continuous improvement activities.
*The schedule is a 12-hour rotating shift (switching between days & nights) 6 am – 6 pm & 6 pm – 6 am*
Your Key Responsibilities:
Supervises an hourly production team.
Maintains adherence to DuPont Core Values.
Ensure operational discipline and standards are properly adhered to consistently.
Manage absence and time management for direct reports.
Conducts performance and development reviews for all team members.
Monitors and tracks production targets and addresses performance issues and schedule compliance.
Completes Leader Standard Work practices, including frequent “line walks” and routine coaching of team members.
Collaborates with workers and managers to solve work-related problems.
Monitor and make adjustments to controllable item costs of manufacturing, for example, overtime, operating supplies, and waste reduction.
Qualifications:
Associates degree or higher preferred
At least 2 years’ experience within the Kalrez business with demonstrated contribution; or previous supervisory experience in perfluoroelastomers (FFKM) seals in a discrete part manufacturing.
Demonstrated computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is required.
Ability to set and maintain high standards.
Ability to identify barriers and develop strategies to eliminate them.
Strong written and spoken communications skills.
Ability to create a respectable work environment where everyone can contribute to their full potential.
Experience in setting and maintaining meaningful metrics to drive improvement.
