    **Job Summary:** The QA/QC Technician Assistant supports assigned projects by working closely with the project team on-site, conducting detailed inspections to verify compliance with company standards and applicable electrical codes. This role requires a collaborative team player who demonstrates strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and effective problem-solving skills. Flexibility and adaptability to meet tight deadlines are essential. The primary purpose of the QA/QC Technician Assistant is to provide additional oversight and support, serving as an extra set of eyes to help ensure quality and accuracy throughout project installations.

    Duties and Responsibilities – Essential Functions

    1. Participate in the second project handoff on projects to better understand project requirements.

    2. Support QAQC functions on assigned projects as directed by the Department Manager or QA/QC Tech Supervisor.

    3. Attend regular project team meetings to discuss schedules and job site inspections as needed.

    4. Coordinate with GC’s project QA/QC team and attend regular scheduled meetings as needed.

    5. Assist in training and support for project team on the QuickBase QA/QC App and promote best practices for installation.

    6. Perform and document underground, temporary power and equipment inspections using the QuickBase QA/QC App.

    7. Inspect received equipment and generate nonconformance reports for any damaged items.

    8. Conduct inspections of switchboards, panelboards, and other equipment purchased for the project.

    9. Witness and verify torque/Meg reports performed by the project team as designed by QuickBase QAQC App.

    10. Inspect in-wall and overhead installations, create punch lists, verify and sign off on punch list items completed as designed by QuickBase QAQC App.

    11. Assist with verification and completion of close out documents as designed by the QuickBase QA/QC App.

    12. Maintains positive relationships with others in the organization by instilling an upbeat work climate.

    13. Travel to job sites, including out-of-town locations, as required.

    14. Support office administrative functions as directed by appropriate authorities.

    15. Identify potential issues and recommend continues improvement measures.

    16. Stay current on National Electrical Code (NEC) updates to ensure installation compliance.

    17. Performs other duties, as assigned by Department Manager or QA/QC Tech Supervisor.

    Job Specifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities)

    1. Proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and the QuickBase QA/QCApp.

    2. Proficient in writing internal and externalcorrespondence.

    3. Ability to focus, organize, and prioritize essential functions of this job to meetdeadlines.

    4. Ability to foster and maintain effective teamwork.

    5. Excellent and professional communicationskills.

    6. Flexible and adaptable in responding to changing demands and priorities.

    Education, Experience, and/or Prerequisites Preferred:

    1. Minimum of three (3) years operational experience at a level of Electrical Apprentice or Electrician, with emphasis on construction in the electrical industry.

    2. **Currently enrolled in the second or third year of an electrical apprenticeship program, with a demonstrated commitment to completing the program.**

    3. Familiarity with electrical codes, safety standards, and construction documentation.

    Physical Requirements:

    1. Ability to stand, walk, and move about construction sites for extended periods.

    2. Capable of climbing ladders, scaffolding, and working at heights as required.

    3. Able to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch to inspect installations in confined or difficult-to-access spaces.

    4. Tolerance for exposure to varying weather conditions and outdoor environments.

    5. Ability to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots as required by job site safety protocols.
