Expected Work Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm with some flexibility and a minimum of at least two in-person days per week on College-designated common attendance days.

Job Description:
The Maternal Optimism and Reproductive Empowerment (MORE) Collective at New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing is seeking a Senior Project and Research Coordinator. Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI). The Research Coordinator will plan, coordinate, and implement activities to ensure that the pre-established work scope, study protocol, and regulatory requirements are followed. The individual will recruit and coordinate research participants, participate in data collection, data analysis, and dissemination activities. They will serve as the principal administrative liaison for the project. The position will develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures, and maintain and coordinate communication with research team members, including investigators and staff. This position is hybrid, requiring at least two College-determined anchor days on site.
Responsibilities:
• Plans, directs, coordinates, and leads the implementation of defined research projects to ensure the scope of work, goals, and objectives are met within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
• Organizes study-related processes, meetings, and training of study personnel
• Maintains effective communication with the research team, including setting meeting agendas, coordinating distribution of meeting materials, and ensuring accountability and follow-through on action items
• Manages IRB Processes, including initial submissions, modifications, and continuing reviews
• Designs and maintains data collection tools (e.g. interview guides, surveys) and recruitment materials
• Monitors the progress of research activities; develops and maintains records of research activities, and prepares periodic and ad hoc reports, as needed
• Maintains regulatory binders, essential regulatory documents, and ensures compliance with human subjects protection requirements
• Confers with potential participants to explain the purpose of the research study and validate respondents
• Coordinates eligibility screening and participant enrollment
• Coordinates and organizes interview and other research activity schedules
• Obtains informed consent and data collection via qualitative interviews and other methods
• Completes participant follow-up, as appropriate
• Validates research data that is submitted by study participants and ensures data are complete and that the fidelity of data collection is maintained.
• Manages research assistants
• Communicates regularly with the research team and responds to all correspondence in a timely manner
• Demonstrates sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns
• Demonstrates capacity to organize, analyze, and synthesize large amounts of data
• Assists with writing, preparation, and submission of manuscripts and grants
• Completes required training and Quality Assurance/Quality Control tasks Performs other related duties as necessary

Required Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to demonstrate good judgement and function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proactively identify potential problems, troubleshoot, and develop sound alternative strategies and tactics.
• Must be motivated, proactive, and able to work independently, as well as perform as part of a team.
• Familiarity with Qualtrics, RedCAP, and qualitative data analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workplace, and Canva
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $82,500. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. This is a full-time fixed-term position on 5-year funding line subject to annual renewal and continued receipt of funding.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Social Work, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field
+ Prior experience in coordinating and implementing research projects, including IRB submissions
+ Evidence of capacity to execute and coordinate complex tasks timely and independent
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with interpretive qualitative research methods
+ Experience with mixed-methods research
+ Expertise in Reproductive Justice or other social theory
+ Experience with community engagement
