    The role you'll contribute:

    Under the general direction of the Admitting Coordinator, performs pre-registry, insurance verification, registry, per-certification, in-house follow-up and discharge for patients to the Texas Health Huguley in a pleasant and accurate manner. Handles payments and valuables from patients, and acts as a cashier for the organization.

    The value you'll bring to the team:

    _Responsible for the clerical duties for the Admitting and Registration of patients._

     

    _Uses professional discretion to ensure confidentiality of information concerning employees, patients and the hospital, as outlined in hospital policies._

     

    _Protects the legal and financial standing of the hospital by obtaining appropriate signatures on consent to treat forms and required assignment of benefits forms, adhering to written policies and procedures._

     

    _Each patient service representative is cross-trained in admitting/emergency room for assistance in those areas, if needed._

     

    _Assigns diagnosis codes on accounts based on physician orders, i.e., In-Patients, Out-Patients, Short-Term Care, Physical Therapy, Cardiac Rehabs, etc._

    Qualifications

    The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:

    High school diploma or equivalent required.
