    As Department Manager III - Transplant, you will lead a team of administrative program coordinators who serve as the primary communication hub for transplant patients throughout their Cleveland Clinic transplant journey. The Department Manager will ensure efficient, thoughtfully designed patient flow; build intensive, multi-channel communication standards across clinical and non-clinical teams; design and establish white-glove service models; and create a team mindset oriented toward lean principles.

     

    A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, in-office requirement 4-5 days per week at Main Campus. Occasional travel to Florida approximately three times per year.

    Responsibilities:

    + Manages department personnel and operations which includes staffing, training, work flow analysis and performance management.

    + Manages staffing to ensure appropriate allocation and compliance with goals and objectives.

    + Monitors quality and financial performance.

    + Ensures compliance with government health regulations, JCAHO guidelines, quality requirements and customer service standards.

    + Recommends enhancement and cost saving strategies.

    + Resolves interdepartmental issues to ensure consistency in quality, procedure and policy application.

    + Develops, monitors and implements programs to enhance customer service, develop skills and improve scope of service.

    + Analyzes programs and makes improvements.

    + Participates in managers meetings and relevant committees as assigned.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Education:

    + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field.

    Certifications:

    + None required.

    Complexity of Work:

    + Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

    + Must be able to take appropriate action in a stressful environment.

    Work Experience:

    + Minimum five years supervisory or management experience in a related setting.

    + Healthcare experience preferred.

    + Offset: Master's degree and four years of experience.

    Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

    + Assessing and enhancing complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-specialty patient flows.

    + Demonstrated success in lean process design with or without 'belt' certification.

    + Patient navigation experience in an Epic environment

    Physical Requirements:

    + Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment.

    + May require extended periods of sitting, standing and walking.

    + Must be able to walk to attend meetings; must have normal or corrected vision to normal range.

    + Ability to clearly communicate by phone and in person. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

    Personal Protective Equipment:

    + Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

     

    Pay Range

     

    Minimum hourly: $33.46

     

    Maximum hourly: $51.03

A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education.
