    About the Role

     

    As the Energy & Sustainability Manager, you will lead the development and execution of comprehensive energy management and sustainability initiatives across the organization. This strategic role is responsible for driving measurable improvements in energy efficiency, cost reduction, and environmental performance.

     

    You will supervise the implementation of energy and sustainability programs, ensuring alignment with goals and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include managing cross-functional projects, analyzing financial and performance data, and producing detailed tracking reports to monitor progress and impact. You will also play a critical role in establishing and maintaining building performance standards, finding opportunities for operational enhancements, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

     

    This position requires a strategic problem solver with strong program management skills, financial competence, and a passion for advancing sustainable practices in the built environment.

    What You’ll Do

    + Assist in sustainability consulting for multiple facility types to help meet goals. Create sustainability, resilience and smart energy plans.

    + Partner with facility managers to deliver environmental sustainability advice. Present energy and sustainability status and basic variance reports to client.

    + Identify basic operational improvements through the implementation of opportunities to improve energy and sustainability performance.

    + Drive sustainability goals and implement energy resilience strategies and programs.

    + Review data and interpretation of energy and sustainability reports.

    + Integrate knowledge of energy procurement and new technologies with the global energy and sustainability platform to drive improved energy and sustainability performance.

    + Develop energy and sustainability status and variance reports from collected energy, waste, and water data.

    + Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.

    + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.

    + Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.

     

    What You’ll Need

     

    Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

     

    Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.

     

    Leadership skills to empower the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job field, multiple job subject areas, and department.

     

    In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

     

    Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mentality.

     

    CEM and LEED accreditation preferred.
