    Job Title: Production Worker

    Job Description

    The Production Worker performs various tasks in a production environment to prepare raw dough for the production process. This role includes positions such as Mixing Operator and Catcher, where the attendant is responsible for adjusting production machines, adding ingredients, and managing dough quality according to product specifications.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform tasks in the croissant mixing room, including roles as a Mixing Operator and Catcher.

    + Adjust production machines and prepare/add ingredients like butter or margarine to ensure high-quality dough production.

    + Remove dough from the conveyor belt, fold, wrap, place on baking pans, and rack them for baking.

    + Assist in moving full racks of dough into the cooler following the production schedule.

    + Ensure the production of safe, quality food that meets all applicable regulatory and company standards.

    + Report any observed food safety issues to supervisory personnel.

    + Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area to prevent safety hazards.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in packaging, general production work, and general labor.

    + Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Mixing Room Machine Operator and Catcher positions.

    + Adherence to company policies, mission, and values.

    + Support and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) impacting food safety.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + No certifications or formal qualifications required.

    + Good attendance and attitude are essential.

    Work Environment

     

    This is a manufacturing and bakery-style environment where employees will stand on production lines for ten hours per day, working near moving conveyors and packaging/baking machinery. The environment can be loud and generate heat. It is a large team setting, requiring effective collaboration with coworkers and supervisors. As a GMP facility, employees must wear white clothing, and other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hagerstown, MD

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
