Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Technician, you will take direction from your supervisor to effectively select, cut, shape, and assemble structural units using various tools. This role involves moving supplies, materials, and equipment across project sites, either manually or with lifting equipment, while maintaining a strong awareness of safety rules and procedures. Responsibilities also include assisting with the installation of wall panels and performing general cleanup tasks.

Responsibilities

+ Take direction from the supervisor for daily tasks.

+ Select, cut, shape, and assemble structural units using tools.

+ Move supplies, materials, and equipment across project sites.

+ Maintain awareness of and adhere to safety rules and procedures.

+ Assist with the installation of wall panels.

+ Perform general cleanup tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Experience working in the construction industry.

+ Comfortable performing general laborer duties for 10 hours a day.

+ Proficient in using hand tools, with experience in steel, carpentry, structural work, concrete, roofing, iron work, and rigging.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in concrete, roofing, rigging, or other manual labor is beneficial.

+ Ability to read and understand construction measurements is ideal.

Work Environment

This role involves working on a new construction project in College Grove, TN, with current work on three buildings and multiple scopes of each. Expect busy, flexible workdays in a dynamic environment. The project runs until late December or early January, with potential assignments on new projects based on performance. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, with 16-20 hours of overtime per week. Daily safety meetings start at 6:30 am. Be prepared to work in the heat and travel within 50 miles of Nashville to various sites.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
