    Job Title: Prep Laborer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Prep Laborer to join our team, responsible for preparing welded units for painting by removing rust, debris, and weld splatter using various tools and techniques.

    Responsibilities

    + Grind off rust from welded units using a grinder.

    + Use a wire wheel to burnish nooks and crannies.

    + Remove welder splatter with a scraper.

    + Rinse welded units with water, apply a chemical wash, and rinse thoroughly.

    + Dry welded units completely with an air hose.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    + Collaborate with team members to meet and exceed productivity and quality expectations.

    + Adhere to company attendance expectations.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with quality inspection and paint preparation.

    + Proficiency in general labor tasks and use of power tools.

    + Experience with assembly line work, soldering, and hand tools.

    + Ability to perform sanding tasks effectively.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Graduate or GED preferred.

     

    Work Environment

     

    Work schedule is Monday through Thursday, with a 10-hour shift. The start and end times vary based on business needs. Overtime work is scheduled on Fridays from 6 am to noon.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
