Join a leading provider of high-end manufacturing systems, software, and services, dedicated to enhancing productivity and sustainability in the metalworking industry. We are seeking a Field Service Technician based in the Dallas/Houston area to travel extensively and support our clients on-site.
Responsibilities
+ Serve as the primary customer support contact to diagnose, execute repairs, and troubleshoot issues at the customer site.
+ Maintain a high level of customer service and build strong relationships with internal and external customers and vendors.
+ Collaborate closely with Technical Support, Installation, Software, Sales, and Training departments.
+ Provide on-site and in-house customer service, occasionally offering remote support.
+ Travel to customer sites locally and as required, including out-of-state travel to assist pre-sales technical support.
+ Continuously develop and maintain technical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
+ Troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) effectively.
+ Participate in sales, service, company, and customer meetings.
Essential Skills
+ 4+ years of experience working in the field troubleshooting PLCs and equipment.
+ Proficiency with PLCs, including Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley, or Siemens.
+ Technical knowledge in electronics, mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
+ Ability to travel 100% of the time.
+ Strong knowledge of CNC (Computer Numerical Control).
+ Mechanical aptitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) and frequency drives.
Work Environment
This position requires 100% travel to client sites, with weekends spent at home. Ideally, candidates will be based in the Dallas/Houston area to minimize travel costs. This is an excellent opportunity to engage with a dynamic customer base and work in a supportive, team-driven environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chester, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
