    Job Description

    This position is responsible for the development, integration, and testing of electrical systems to achieve the goals of specific projects and Internal Research & Development projects. The role involves serving as the Electrical Engineering functional team representative throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to architecture, processes, and quality standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and integrate electrical systems for specific projects.

    + Test electrical systems to ensure they meet project goals.

    + Serve as the Electrical Engineering representative for projects from concept to completion.

    + Ensure projects adhere to architecture, processes, and quality standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in C++ and Embedded C.

    + Experience with firmware and hardware.

    + Experience in development, testing, and integration.

    + Hardware testing, PCB design, and microcontroller knowledge.

    + 4+ years of experience.

    + Degree in Electrical Engineering.

    + Embedded firmware design, development, and testing (C/C++).

    + Hardware integration and testing.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in space, NASA, or defense industries.

    + PCB design layout and manufacturing experience.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is based in an innovative space technology small business located in Lexington, KY. The company focuses on manufacturing health and technology products in space, supporting research and development on the International Space Station. The team is currently 30 people strong with plans to expand to 45 by the end of next year. The company offers 15 days of PTO, 9 holidays, and 5 sick days. Employees enjoy working on exciting projects like the 'Artemis' Prime contract for Moon to Mars missions.     Job Type & Location

    This is a full-time position based out of Lexington, Kentucky. On-site 5 days a week and no hybrid option.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
