    The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the Design and Fabrication Project Management Team. The role involves developing and maintaining a detailed project schedule, tracking all project milestones to ensure on-time delivery, and managing contract documents to ensure they are complete and current. You will set and manage client expectations, interface with engineering leads for schedule compliance, and work with project engineers to ensure successful design output as approved by the client. Reviewing project submittal and fabrication drawings for adherence to design intent, meeting budgetary objectives, and generating change orders while obtaining customer approval are also key aspects of the position.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule tracking all milestones.

    + Manage contract documents ensuring completeness and currency.

    + Set and manage client expectations effectively.

    + Interface with engineering leads for compliance with schedules.

    + Collaborate with project engineers to ensure design output meets client approval.

    + Review project submittal and fabrication drawings for design intent adherence.

    + Meet budgetary objectives and generate change orders with customer approval.

    Essential Skills

    + Project management experience in a manufacturing setting.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.).

    + 2-3+ years of experience with scheduling, budgeting, and project tracking.

    + Ability to manage vendor/client relationships effectively.

    + Experience being the primary point of contact for customers.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, and architecture.

    + Proficiency in Smart sheets, MS Excel, and MS Office.

    + Strong skills in vendor communication, negotiating, and client management.

    Work Environment

    The first month will be 100% onsite, followed by a hybrid schedule allowing for two days of work-from-home flexibility. You will be part of a Project Management Team consisting of seven members, combining both Design and Fabrication teams. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale projects such as airports and train stations. The dress code is business casual.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
