    Position: Accounting Assistant II / Accountant I

    Duration: 1 Year (possibility for extension based on department needs)

    Job Description:

    An exciting opportunity is now available for a detailed-oriented and adaptable finance professional in South San Francisco. We are seeking a contractor for a one-year contract position with the possibility of extension. Proficiency with Eden software is required.

    Responsibilities:

    + Provide general accounting support across multiple functions, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

    + Assist in vendor creation and maintenance processes.

    + Demonstrate strong attention to detail and utilize standard accounting practices.

    + Transition seamlessly across tasks depending on departmental needs.

    + Support invoice approvals and perform bank reconciliations.

    + Assist in preparing budget adjustments and analyze financial data as needed.

    + Utilize familiarity with municipal or fund accounting, if applicable (not required).

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Proven experience in accounting support roles such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and/or financial reconciliation.

    + Strong understanding of standard accounting practices.

    + Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

    + Eden software experience is highly desirable.

    + Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
