Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing financial processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and contributing to the development of budgets and audits. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly journal entries and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Generate timely and detailed financial statements to support organizational decision-making.

• Collaborate in the development and monitoring of budgets, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.

• Maintain comprehensive records and reports while adhering to high standards of quality assurance.

• Analyze financial reports and data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.

• Act as the point of contact for auditors during annual audits, facilitating smooth communication and accurate reporting.

• Evaluate accounting reserves, assets, and expenditures to optimize financial performance.

• Utilize advanced software tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, to streamline accounting tasks and data management.

• Contribute to the team's success by working collaboratively and supporting colleagues when needed.

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

• Minimum of three to five years of experience in accounting is preferred.

• Proficiency in month-end close, general ledger management, and journal entry preparation.

• Strong skills in account reconciliation and bank reconciliations.

• Advanced competency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.

• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.

• Proven analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to convey financial insights effectively.
