Description We are looking for a dedicated Financial Aid Officer to oversee and manage various financial aid programs. This role is integral in ensuring students receive the necessary support to achieve their educational goals, while also maintaining compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies.

Responsibilities:

• Administer financial aid programs, including federal, state, and institutional funding, to ensure timely and accurate disbursement.

• Provide personalized guidance to students and families regarding financial aid options and application processes.

• Monitor compliance with federal and state regulations, ensuring all documentation and procedures meet established guidelines.

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline financial aid delivery and improve operational efficiency.

• Manage the coordination of benefits related to financial aid, including leave of absence and compensation adjustments.

• Oversee COBRA administration and other relevant benefit functions tied to financial aid programs.

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless integration of financial aid processes.

• Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

• Stay informed about changes in legislation and industry trends to adapt programs accordingly.

• Train and support staff in understanding financial aid policies and procedures. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.

• Proven experience in financial aid administration or a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, families, and colleagues.

• Proficiency in managing benefits coordination, including COBRA and leave of absence processes.

• Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.

• Attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Familiarity with compensation and benefits systems is highly desirable.
