    The District has anticipated vacancies for two(2) Teaching Assistants at Moreau Elementary. This is to support the newly established 8:1:2 classroom.

     

    Reports to Supervising Teacher and Building Principal

    Description

    Provides instructional services under the supervision of a Teacher/Administrator.

    General Responsibilities:

    Some examples of position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    + Works with individual students or groups of students on special instructional projects

    + Provides the teacher with information about students which will assist the teacher in the development of appropriate learning and behavioral experiences

    + Assists students in the use of available instructional resources, and assists in the development of instructional materials

    + Assists in related instructional work as required

    + Utilizes their own special skills and abilities by assisting in instructional programs in such areas as foreign language, art, crafts, music, and similar subjects

    + Assists students with specific health-related activities as appropriate

    + Performs other related duties as assigned

    Salary and Benefits:

    + Ten month position, 6.5 Hours per day

    + Salary and Benefits pursuant to current CSEA contract

    Job Qualifications

    NYS Certification as a Teaching Assistant required.
