Pay Range:

$69,800.00 - $114,800.00

The Senior Motion Designer is responsible for the execution and consistent application of Bio-Techne’s brand strategy through motion graphics, videography, and video editing. In addition, this role is responsible for delivering effective, aesthetic, and high-quality video content that reflects branding priorities. This position works directly with the Media Production Team, Creative Team, and stakeholders to ensure all projects are consistent with brand standards while reaching the goal of each creative brief. As a Senior Motion Designer, you do more than make graphics move. You’re a creative storyteller with a knack for tackling complex topics to create powerful stories that capture an audience and leave them wanting more.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Create and deliver motion graphics for various media, from large format displays to social media and web content.

+ Translate strategic and creative directions into crisp executions for various marketing and advertising channels.

+ Concept, design, storyboard and animate engaging content and campaigns, working closely with internal stakeholders.

+ Work both independently and collaboratively to bring static designs and storyboards to life with innovative expressions of motion.

+ Define and drive visual/motion consistency for Bio-Techne and associated brands.

+ Create and maintain a library of templates for use by the Media Production Team (L3s, bumpers, etc.)

+ Partner with Media Production Team members to add motion design elements on top of shot footage and 3D animations.

+ Stay up to date on the latest motion graphics design techniques.

+ Maintain high standards of design while working within the brand guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

+ Expertise in After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere.

+ Must have a strong portfolio and reel showcasing motion graphics, vector-based static design, and video editing skills.

+ Outstanding design foundation, with a solid understanding of digital tools and trends.

+ Experience with the full production process, from brief intake to concepting all the way to output.

+ Curious, strategic thinker, able to convert complex topics into clean output that is on-brand and on-message.

+ Collaborative partner to Media Team Members, Creative Team members and key stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements:

+ 5+ years of hands-on experience in motion design & video.

+ Strong portfolio showcasing diversity of work.

+ Professional design knowledge and strong static and motion design skills.

+ Strong technical skills and proven ability to use the Adobe Creative Suite. (After Effects, Illustrator are mandatory, Premiere, Photoshop are strongly preferred)

+ A college degree in Graphic Design or related field.

+ Ability to travel periodically based on business needs.

+ Experience with videography, photography, sound design and 3D workflow integrations a plus.
