As a key member of our high-performing Corporate Accounting team, you’ll play a pivotal role in one of Microsoft’s most visible and impactful collaborations. In this dynamic Senior Finance Manager role, you’ll support the end-to-end controllership for related transactions, incorporating process excellence, controls and compliance, project management, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll be at the forefront of financial operations that directly shape Microsoft’s future, navigating the complexities of a rapidly evolving, high-stakes environment where every decision counts.
This Senior Finance position will partner across various organizations to help design, document, and govern the OpenAI partnership. Responsibilities
+ Develop and manage a project plan for various workstreams, identify gaps, drive accountabilities, and communicate status to stakeholders
+ Develop trusted partnerships across diverse teams such as Corporate Development, Central Finance, engineering groups (EG) Finance, Tax, Accounting, Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA), and external auditors.
+ Demonstrate proficiency in US GAAP and able to efficiently document accounting conclusions
+ Simplify complex accounting, finance, and business details to support leadership decision-making.
+ Successful execution of time-sensitive and high-pressure deliverables with calm composure, positive attitude, and team spirit.
+ Contribute to team growth including mentorship, coaching, recruiting, onboarding, and training activities.
+ Apply judgment and manage multiple workstreams to create clarity in ambiguous scenarios.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum qualifications
+ Master's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 3+ years accounting or finance experience
+ OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 4+ years accounting or finance experience OR equivalent experience
+ 1+ years of experience in a matrix-based organization
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance or related field AND 8+ years of accounting or finance experience
+ OR Master's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance or related field AND 6+ years of accounting or finance experience
+ Professional accounting certification such as CPA or equivalent
+ Proficient US GAAP knowledge and experience
Accounting IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
