    Quality Control Laboratory Technician

    **Location:** Los Angeles, CA

    **Position Type:** 6 month contract to hire

    **Pay:** $22-$25/hour

    **Hours** : M-F 6:30am - 3:00pm

     

    About the Role

     

    We're seeking a detail-focused QC Laboratory Technician to join our cosmetics manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you'll conduct essential physical and chemical testing on cosmetic formulations throughout the production lifecycle—from raw materials through finished products. You'll play a key part in ensuring our products meet rigorous quality standards while supporting our stability testing program.

    What You'll Do

    + Perform routine physical testing including Karl Fischer moisture analysis, water activity measurements, pH testing, viscosity profiling, specific gravity determination, and melting point analysis.

    + Execute wet chemistry procedures and analytical methods on production samples, stability specimens, and finished goods.

    + Support stability testing initiatives in collaboration with formulation chemists.

    + Prepare and standardize volumetric solutions for laboratory use.

    + Conduct regular calibration and preventative maintenance on analytical equipment.

    + Maintain comprehensive laboratory documentation and sample archival systems.

    + Ensure compliance with GMP protocols and regulatory requirements including FDA guidelines.

     

    What We're Looking For

    Technical Skills:

    + Strong mathematical aptitude with ability to perform algebraic calculations.

    + Background in chemistry testing (education or industry related).

    + Open to new chemistry grads.

    + Comfortable learning new laboratory information management systems.

    + Self-motivated with an energetic, positive approach.

    + Team player who thrives in collaborative environments.
