    General Statement Of Duties:

    SUMMARY OF JOB CLASSIFICATION:

    The Competency Court Coordinator oversees the administrative functions and procedural workflow of the competency court, competency diversion, and/or related competency programs. This role involves managing data entry, coordinating referrals, evaluations, and facilitating communication among stakeholders involved in competency court cases and those being diverted from the competency continuum. May supervise 1 or more full-time employees.

    Essential Functions:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function listed below satisfactorily.     Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary team meetings in conjunction with competency court dockets, competency diversion, and/or competency programs prior to and/or after court sessions, acting as the project leader to ensure effective collaboration.

     

    Lead and manage data collection, policy development, and accurate record-keeping for competency court, competency diversion, and/or related competency programs, ensuring compliance through the DIMS system.

     

    Manage and coordinate local steering committees, including facilitating effective communication among service providers for competency court, competency diversion, and/or related competency programs, and demonstrating strong leadership skills.

     

    Inform the court and relevant parties of whether participant meets the minimum qualifications for competency court, competency diversion, and/or related competency programs.

     

    Collaborate with the State Court Administrator’s Office to conduct program evaluations, make necessary adjustments to the program, provide training, and ensure overall success for competency court, competency diversion, and/or related competency programs.

     

    Write and manage grants and related budgets to support resources for clients and the courts as needed.

     

    Coordinate memorandum of understanding (MOUs), policies, and procedures related to competency court, competency diversion, and/or related competency programs, ensuring alignment and effective service delivery.

     

    Conduct and participate in training for stakeholder groups, including Judicial personnel, service providers, and community partners, to ensure proper understanding and implementation of competency court, competency diversion, and related competency programs, showcasing leadership capabilities.

     

    Attends meetings and trainings as required.

     

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Supervisor Responsibilities:

    Work may require supervising and monitoring performance for a regular group of employees (1 or more fulltime employees) including providing input on hiring/disciplinary actions and work objectives/ effectiveness, performance evaluations, and realigning work as needed. The work performed by majority of employees is complex.

    Human Collaboration:

    Communications and discussions result in decisions regarding policy development and implementation. Interaction with others outside the organization requires exercising participative management skills that support team efforts and quality processes.

    Physical Effort Requirements:

    Sedentary Work- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.

    Work Environment:

    Good-Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards.

    Work Location:

    Office or similar indoor environment.

    FULL SALARY RANGE FOR THIS 0.50 FTE POSITION IS $3,078.67 TO $4,464.08 PER MONTH.
