    Special Education Teacher | $55/hr | Springfield, OR | Middle School Life Skills | ASAP–June 2026

    Position Summary

    Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in a life skills classroom at Spencer Butte Middle School in Springfield, OR. This in-person role requires experience with moderate to severe behaviors and a strong commitment to individualized instruction and team collaboration.

    + Role: Special Education Teacher

    + Location: Springfield, OR

    + Grade Level: Middle School

    + Classroom Type: Life Skills (moderate to severe behaviors)

    + Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, approx. 8:30 AM–4:30 PM (start time may vary)

    + Start Date: ASAP

    + Duration: 9 months

    + Pay: $55 per hour

    + Interview: Virtual with SPED admin (Equity Lens document reviewed in depth)

    Responsibilities

    + Provide specialized instruction and support in a life skills classroom

    + Participate in IEP meetings and manage case documentation

    + Collaborate with general education staff and multidisciplinary teams

    + Support students with moderate to severe behavioral needs

    + Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations

    + Review and apply principles from the district’s Equity Lens document

    Qualifications

    + Active Oregon SPED License

    + Previous life skills classroom experience required

    + Experience with IEP development and case management

    + CPR certification, TB/PPD clearance, and health certificate as applicable

    + Compliance with all federal, state, and local employment requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
