Honeywell’s ACST team is seeking a **Lead Software Engineer** to work on-site at our Honeywell’s Plymouth, MN or Broomfield, CO locations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead the development of industrial control solutions that interact with industrial sensors, unique scientific instruments, and other complex electromechanical systems.
+ Use and oversee the use of PLC development environments with IEC 61131-3 programming languages (ST, LD, FB, SFC).
+ Use and direct the configuration of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to communicate with PLCs and other industrial devices.
+ Collaborate on the design and implementation of Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) for human-machine interface (HMI) to enable operators to monitor and control laboratory and industrial machines.
+ Mentor early career engineers and provide guidance and coaching to direct and/or indirect reports.
+ Lead project teams and ensure accountability for programmatic elements while working under minimal supervision.
+ Engage in discussions with customers to translate their requests and intent into actionable project goals to ensure success.
+ Assist in the Development and continuous improvement of engineering processes and be responsible for the technical direction and execution of goals on projects and programs.
+ Leading design artifacts with configuration management and collaborating with internal and customers.
+ Develop integrated software and hardware solutions for advanced process control, leveraging comprehensive knowledge in software and electrical engineering principles and practices.
You Must Have:
+ 6+ years of Controls, Automation, Software, Systems, or Process Engineering experience
+ US Citizenship to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
We Value:
+ Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering, or another related STEM field; with a typical profile of 8–10 years of industry experience for a Bachelor's degree or 6–8 years for a Master’s degree.
+ Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 programming languages; including ladder logic, structured text, function block diagram, and sequential function chart.
+ Proficiency in design of human machine interfaces (HMI) for industrial machines.
+ Experience setting up and configuring industrial communications networks; including Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, and RS-232/485.
+ Experience using Git for revision control of industrial control software and configurations.
+ Working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting using standard electrical test equipment
+ Basic mechanical understanding/aptitude, comfortable using simple hand tools.
+ Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply analytical and technical knowledge to reach conclusions.
PAY EQUITY
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $140,000 - $175,000. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $140,000 - $175,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
