    Contract Details:

    Shift/Schedule: 7p-7a | 36hrs / wk

     

    Contract: 13 weeks (extension options)

    Pay Breakdown:

    + $2,218/week

    + $27/hr Base Pay

    + $75/hr OT!

    + $1246 Stipend/Allowance

     

    Estimated Start Date: 11/17

     

    Patient Ratios: 1:4-6 pending Unit

    Top 6 Essential Duties for a Med Surg RN:

    Patient Assessment & Care Planning

     

    + Conducts comprehensive assessments including physical, psychosocial, and safety needs.

    + Collaborates with patients and families to develop and update individualized care plans.

     

    Implementation of Patient Care

     

    + Delivers safe, evidence-based care for patients with complex medical conditions.

    + Performs bedside testing and utilizes organizational standards and procedures.

     

    Evaluation & Continuity of Care

     

    + Monitors patient outcomes and revises care plans as needed.

    + Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity.

     

    Patient & Family Education

     

    + Assesses readiness and ability to learn.

    + Provides relevant education using appropriate materials and strategies.

     

    Leadership & Professional Development

     

    + Participates in unit goals, performance improvement, and cost-effective care initiatives.

    + Sets and works toward professional growth objectives.

     

    Discharge Planning & Advocacy

     

    + Anticipates discharge needs and coordinates resources.

    + Builds relationships with families to support advocacy and transition of care.

    Requirements:

    + Valid NC RN license

    + 2 years of recent experience in a Med Surg Setting

    + BLS, NIHSS, CPI-A Certified
