Engagement & Strategy - IF - R025217 Primary Location : DC-Washington : Employee Status : Limited Term Overtime Status : Exempt Job Type : Temporary Work : : : Relocation Provided: : Yes Compensation Grade Low: : FR PAY GRADE 24 Compensation Grade High: : FR PAY GRADE 25 Minimum Salary: : $95,700 Maximum Salary: : $142,800 Posting Date : Oct 22, 2025 Position Description Minimum Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Minimum Experience 3 Summary The Project Coordinator is involved in a significant amount of management and coordination of operational and management-related processes and projects that support the strategic business objectives and goals of the division and works closely with managers, senior officers, and/or relevant leadership teams (e.g., Deputy Directors, Division Directors). Provides project management support for divisional projects as assigned using cross-functional teams, meetings, and progress measurement activities to bring projects to completion on time, managing scope and budget, with quality outcomes in support of division objectives. Participates in planning of division and system events and activities. Duties and Responsibilities Develops action plans, tracks the status of projects, identifies problems, and resolves issues for operational and management-related initiatives undertaken by the division. Serves as liaison with other divisions on initiatives that need to be coordinated more broadly. Clearly communicates assignments, expectations, required results and current status, verbally and in writing, to project team members, project sponsors and stakeholders. Keeps project team well informed of changes. Participates in the planning and organization of international meetings and serve as a liaison to international hosts and participants in preparing or coordinating logistics. Works closely with the Protective Service unit on logistics for international meetings held abroad. May also provide similar support for conferences, meetings of division-sponsored work groups, town hall meetings, and strategic planning meetings. May assist in scheduling, preparation of correspondence, presentations, and related briefing materials for the Division Director and Deputy Directors’ participation in external activities. Coordinates the division responses to external correspondence requests directed to the division. This includes analyzing requests, identifying the appropriate subject matter expert to draft a response, coordinating drafts involving multiple parties (including senior officers and staff in IF and other divisions), tracking progress, and resolving issues to meet deadlines. Position Requirements Overview The United States will assume the G20 presidency in 2026 and the G7 presidency in 2027. The Board, jointly with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, will have responsibility for the G7 and the G20 Finance Tracks, which are among the primary international forums to bring central bank and treasury officials together across the world’s largest economies to discuss pressing economic challenges, address financial stability risks, and coordinate on global policy issues. About the Team The International Engagement and Strategy (IES) section within the International Finance Division supports the Board’s international engagement and promotes the visibility and influence of Board economic and financial expertise in international policy dialogue. Responsibilities include: developing and executing an international engagement strategy; conducting international policy research and analysis; monitoring global geopolitical developments; coordinating perspective on international policy issues across the Board and System; managing relationships with other central banks and finance ministries; supporting Board staff participation in, and contributions to, relevant working groups at international organizations; and, coordinating international meetings and visitors to the Board. About the Role The Project Coordinator will support the overall management of G20/G7 operations, including project management support for cross-functional teams and official meetings, and use of progress measurement tools to bring G20/G7 projects to completion on time with quality outcomes. The Project Coordinator develops and maintains a current contact list for G20/G7 participants, ensuring all G20/G7 delegation registrations are accurate and consistent with guidelines. The Project Coordinator also develops and maintains accurate administrative circular information for all governor and deputy in-person meetings. Duties and Responsibilities The Project Coordinator in IES works independently with moderate guidance, as well as with other staff members, and: Assists with day-to-day management of administrative workstreams related to G20/G7 planning, policy, and relationship management. Contributes significantly to the assembly of G20 briefing books for the Vice Chair and Chair, ensuring well-organized and timely delivery of materials. Develops and maintains a current contact list for G20/G7 participants, ensuring accuracy. Coordinates with Board Members' assistants to arrange G20 trips and manage associated travel logistics for Board Members and staff support team. Participates in planning events and activities for the G20/G7 both in the United States and at foreign meeting sites. Serves as a liaison to internationals hosts and participants in preparing or coordinating logistics. Works closely with the Protective Services unit on logistics for international meetings held abroad. Position Requirements/Qualifications To qualify at the below grade levels, candidates must hold a degree in economics, finance, business administration, international policy/affairs, or related discipline, and have the accompanying minimum years of relevant experience, excluding time spent in post-graduate study. This is a two-year term position. The position requires 100% on-site presence at our Downtown Washington, D.C. offices. Travel frequency is up to 10% depending on business needs.
