Summary:
As an SIPI-EMC Engineer Intern at Meta Reality Labs, you will develop new products for Meta wearable devices. You will work closely with Signal integrity, Power integrity, EMC engineer on Meta wearables devices through research and development, prototyping, and implementation in shipping products. You will own SIPI EMC system design, characterization and validation from initial definition through production. You should have comprehensive fundamental Electromagnetics knowledge and system design experiences along with a passion for exploration and experimentation.Our internships are twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks long.

SIPI-EMC Engineer Intern (PhD) Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for SIPI EMC design throughout a product design cycle including pre-layout feasibility study, layout review and feedback, post-layout simulation and validation
2. Responsible for part selection, prototyping, factory bring up and lab bench debug and root cause
3. Work with an internal cross-functional team and external JDM/CM to successfully bring wireless products to market
4. Optimize SIPI EMC performance by simulation and lab validation
5. Characterize and debug Signal Integrity, Power integrity and EMC issues to meet requirements

6. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining PhD in Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, Electromagnetics or a related field
7. Knowledge of EM fundamentals and hands-on knowledge in high-speed signal integrity design, Power integrity, and EMC
8. Knowledge of or experience in semiconductor devices, VLSI design, microelectronic device
9. Working experience with SI/PI/EMC simulation tools (e.g. HFSS, CST, HyperLynx, ADS, Spice)
10. Hands-on experience with lab tools (e.g. Spectrum Analyzer, VNA, TDR, and real-time or sampling scope) or EMC test chamber for system performance validation
11. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
12. Demonstrated experience working independently

13. Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
14. Experience in Schematic Capture and PCB Layout using Cadence Tool
15. Extensive understanding of EMC principles, testing methodologies, and regulatory requirements (FCC, CE, etc.)
16. Coding skills for Test Equipment Automation
Public Compensation:
$6,688/month to $11,467/month + benefits
